-7C (20F) and scattered clouds. More weather warnings out yet again for tomorrow for snow fall and travel advisories.

Today’s pile up on the hiway just north of here resulted in over 60 vehicles involved, one death and multiple injuries.

The police still have the hiway closed, people had to leave their vehicles where they were that were stuck on the hiway and couldn’t get out of the jam up, buses were brought in to transport people to a local community centre. It’s too cold and dangerous to stay on the vehicles at night.

One of my crew was mixed up in the frey and was lucky to not get in a tangle up. It took him 4.5 hrs to get back to the office which was a 40 min drive normally. He said it was the worst he has seen it in years. My niece lives up there and couldn’t even get to the hiway (a 5 min drive!), thank goodness she stayed home.

The past few years have been very mild with little snow, people forget how to drive in the winter, my crew said people were driving like maniacs in white out conditions.

So tragic - I just want to remind everyone if you are in an accident stay in your vehicle unless it is on fire or you can absolutely move well out of the way of any oncoming traffic.

Fog is amazing! Walking around the lake point in the fog was like entering a whole other world. The huge spider webs strung between the trees all sparkled in moisture is a sight I'll never forget. By afternoon, when I walk my dogs there, all the webs were gone.

I stopped walking in the dark in December 2021 , I would leave home at 530 am and eat at McDonald’s to be at the bus stop for the 6am bus

Imagine riding on a crazy spooky horse, through a spider web catching you on the face, and a big narly spider falling down your top.

Deep breaths…. Deep breaths uh oh not too deep don’t scare the spider! Get off the horse carefully, and whip off your top fast getting rid of that spider!

My friends had no idea why I jumped off screaming and stripped naked hahaha. Poor horse thought I was going to kill him or something.

I calmly dressed and got back on the horse (who BTW behaved wonderfully after that), and we continued our ride.

My friends have not let me forget this.

Can’t wait till those Joro Spiders make it up here. One of those falls down my top at my age I’ll likely keel over dead!
