Me too, neighbor ... Northeastern Maryland.I'll second that West central New Jersey.
There's supposed to be a rhythm to the seasons. When I first moved here it was only June, July, and August that were horribly hot. It'd start getting hot and dry in May and worse in June and then in July it'd turn humid and just when you thought you couldn't stand it anymore - bam! The monsoon storms hit. Regularly, like around 4:00 in the afternoon nearly every day until September. They broke up all the heat and put on a spectacular lightning show, too. I'd never seen anything like it.Not fast enough! Mid Atlantic New Jersey.![]()

Doncha just love "fake" global warming and water-table depletion? There's supposed to be a rhythm to the seasons. When I first moved here it was only June, July, and August that were horribly hot. There were such huge downpours that the entire region would flood, so everyone would just stay put for a while until the thirsty desert soaked up all the water which happened pretty quickly. If that meant you were stuck at church or the dentist's office or the grocery store for an hour until the waters receded, that's where you stayed.

That's a 13.5' underpass. People would get out kayaks and inflatable rafts and things and paddle around and have some fun.
Fast forward to today: it's 90F in March, the storms skirt us to go east into New Mexico instead, and it's 85F on Christmas.![]()
Come on now, let's be PC and say CLIMATE CHANGE, doesn't that sound sooo much nicer.Doncha just love "fake" global warming and water-table depletion?
