11C and calm @ 10 am...this time yesterday it was 25C and blowing a gale. Let’s hope these calmer conditions to day across NSW allow fire fighters to get the upper hand.

I had to look up the conversation for that, I can relate to that temp, that is freezing. That is our night time winter temps, we have gone as low as minus 11, (12.2f) ....our days are usually warmer though, so I feel sorry for you...winter really is terrible

still about 70 fires burning, but not to the extreme as yesterday, only really bad one, compared with 17 bad ones yesterday, weather conditions are a bit better today. A decent down pour over the whole north coast would drench the area and extinguish the fires.
