I used to buy the most gorgeous hosta plants from a nursery in Olathe, Kansas. Then they sold the business - and after several years a young buck deer ate all the plants down to the roots. If they recover next year, he will discover they won't be easy pickins.

19c @ 10 am. Have woken to a Smokey Sunday, will be like this for a few days apparently. Smoke is coming up from two really bad fires down from us.

We had some *@#) hole lighting fires in our town last night, something we don’t need. In the past 72 hours we have had 5 fires here, don’t know if it is the same person lighting them.

Oh that darkness !!!! I was confined with grandkids today and now feel sleepy even though most of the exercise I got today was clamping a lid on my temper!
