It's 28 F and feeling downright balmy after the cold days we've had. At 28 it's also the warmest it's going to be at least until after Christmas. Have nearly a foot of the white stuff on the ground. Chickens are staying in their pens. Ducks and geese don't mind it at all.

The lower photo was taken in July.

There was snow already covering the ground; but the snowfall was heavy enough to hide the hills and make the telephone poles hard to see.

Right now its 15F out, although we're going to be getting antarctic temperatures for the next few weeks/months, from a high of about 25 to a low of about -35. We got about half a foot of snow last night, and another foot coming later this week too

. Chickens and guineas absolutely hate the snow, but don't mind the cold. Ducks don't mind the snow or cold, although their feet seem to have minds of their own, like they all plop down and lift their feet up into their feathers, so they turn into like little duck boats.
