I couldn't figure the quote thing out at first either. Someone explained to me how it worked...lol. If you ever have a question, just ask. Usually someone knows the answer and can fill you in. Learning all there is to learn on this site and how to access it is a huge learning curve.  One I'm still learning myself...lol.

Oh if I saw on another post did you hatch chicks not all that long ago? And they are doing okay in this weather? I want to start hatch as early as I can but just don't know how early to go with our weather temps? What's the earliest you set eggs and was it good!


I'm from Manitoba, Canada. The lower, west corner of the province to be more exact.

When I'm on my phone, sometimes it puts my reply inside quotes unless I move my writing to the bottom and end of the computer's writing. On the computer...sometimes I've ended up writing in quotes because my cursor starts me in the quote. Not sure if this helps??

I just found out that you can click (I think it's cancel) at the bottom left to start over fresh.

I'm originally from lower east SK...lol. It's a small world! Chances are I've driven close to where you lived.

I hatched chicks from late last summer to this November. I kept the Jan/Fed chicks inside for a while. I'm not going to hatch until the warmer weather in spring for that reason...lol. My November chicks (7) were moved out to a 4' rabbit cage in an large, unheated shed by Nov 20th. They had a heat bulb. I moved them into the coop when it warmed up and they're doing fine. I don't think I plan on doing hatches past Aug/Sept anymore unless they're for myself. It's too hard to balance hatching chicks and harvest...lol.
