Just wanted to show how cold it was this week in Canada.

28 now feels like 18 with freezing rain. I have numerous sheltered areas for the chickens to go under but they are just walking around with ice on their tails ugh!!

14F - no wind, not even a little bitty breeze. so snow should stay where I put it until it gets gusty again.

I have to say it was fun though, I got the driveway clear and I cleared the fire hydrant on the neighbors property. You are supposed to keep it totally clear in case it needs to be used. I've been the one taking care of it since it was installed many years ago.

I did have one minor fall when I misjudged how deep the snow was. But that was fun too - when you don't break any bones you have to rejoice. I know I am bragging but haven't felt so invigorated in a long time.

It's currently 37F but feels like 32F with wind chill and rain. It's supposed to drop a LOT this week due to the vortex or something that's dropping down this direction in Oklahoma.

I don't think I've ever seen it hit -4.

We are headed for deeper cold - highs in low single digits and lows below zero. Then of course they add "dangerous wind chills of 25-34 mph plus some gusts to 40-50 mph.

Plus the snow just keeps on falling. But that's what snow is supposed to do.

Just came home to 1°F. Heat wave!!! I didn’t need a hat, scarf or gloves to go out to the chicken coop!!
But the sun is going down so it will get colder.
