Okay my lawn is mainly vigorous weeds but, has some grass too. First time I was able to find someone to mow it - grass was to the top of the fence. Guy said he'd have to cut it twice, his mower couldn't take so much off at once. Ended up being $ 100.

After that when it was growing back I sprayed it with Round up- it came back anyway but not nearly as tall.

My lawn has crabgrass and weeds too. Both outgrow grass many times over.

I free range my chickens an hour daily so I don't use chemicals like weed and feed. GC

I was enjoying the browned out grass in my yard (didn't need mowing) then got smacked with a heavy rainstorm last night. Oh joy!! Plus added heat. Grass is headed toward the top of my 42" fence now.

My weeds grow that fast. They double in size overnight after one decent shower.

the heavy rain hasn't let up all day. My front yard is grass and it's very happy. My back yard is adobe dirt, and it had about 3" of standing water when I went out to put my chickens to bed.
I see much mud in my future

The standing water has soaked into the ground, now it's shoe sucking mud. It's days like these that I wish I didn't own white dogs.
