78F at 9 AM. High in the 90's with a triple digit 'real feel'. Supposed to get thunder storms this evening followed by moderating temperatures.

95F at 3:30 PM. Took a trip East and South of here today. It's dry here, but worse where we traveled. I've never seen so many dead trees and shrubs as I saw today.

Yea, I didn't even notice it was on the agenda. The local airport got 2.5 inches. I'm not sure what I got, a strange dog came through and ate my rain gauge, but it was a decent amount.
