Chilly up at this altitude at night! But it feels SO good!

I sleep good at 55 degrees.
Big swings like that do make you feel really alive, for sure!

I need some cool sent this way. Manual labor building more chicken infrastructure is not for us old folks in this heat but it has to be done so the brooders can be emptied.

Gray sea salt is your friend, that and magnesium and potassium supplements.
In the hot, dry weather we used to dunk our canvas hats in water. Worked fairly well. Fans can be really helpful, along with misters.

but not on my walk home

On the hottest days I mist a couple of my coops with Cornish X in them. I also wet down the tops of the tarps over hoop coops.

It's not terrible here yet. 93 real feel of 100. It's OK in the shade...it was better before I checked the temperature.
