1:15 P.M., 112F, 6% humidity, and the city decided that now, in July in the desert, would be a good time to re-asphalt the road right outside our house. We had to turn off the evap cooler because it sits on the roof and was sucking in all the toxic fumes from outside. All we have to cool the house are floor fans. We are sweltering.

77 degrees. It is a nice break from the 90 degree temps we had Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Not as nice as yesterdays 72 degrees. I don't miss the summers in Houston TX at all.
