A giant hail storm has hit the Central West of New South Wales blanketing the area in what looks like white snow on Christmas Day, as the weather bureau issues a warning for large parts of interior eastern Australia.

Angus Hines from the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said that while the storms have moved away from the populated coastal strip, they have kicked off other conditions in inland NSW.
