What's the temperature where you are???

It's been below freezing for 55 hours here, it's been 20°F constant for 48 hours, 18 to 19°F the rest of the time. In the 'Big Freeze' of 2021, we had 107 hours of below freezing conditions.
South Texans are just not use to this kind of weather. I really shouldn't be complaining, cause the rest of the country is experiencing alot worse conditions.

Highs above 45C are forecast for the town for later in the week. (ABC News: Cason Ho)

A remote town in northern WA billed as "Australia's hottest town" has just sweltered its way through almost a month of temperatures above 43 degrees Celsius.

Marble Bar earned the title of Australia's hottest town when it recorded the longest heatwave — 160 days over 37.7 degrees — in 1923 and 1924.

Some locals 'love it'

While many residents look to escape the January heat, some remain content in the sweltering town.

Lifelong Marble Bar resident, affectionately known as Chops, said this year's summer had been "quite pleasant actually".

"I live in a house with no air-conditioning," he laughed.

"I put up with it."

But he said for those not used to the heat, it could be a difficult transition.

"It's a real different sort of heat — not for the faint-hearted.

"[The heat] slaps them in the face."

Margaret Kiernan from Marble Bar Visitor Centre came to the town from Albany two decades ago, making the move from one of the state's coldest areas to its hottest.

"People think we're mad," she said.

"But we love it."

I'm moving!

I'm in No. Central West Virginia...it was -11 (that's not a typo, yes MINUS 11 Degrees) this morning! I hope I don't find chicken-pops when I go to feed and water this morning!

Yesterday, the radio said Alaska was averaging 40 degrees, it was -5 here at the time! I don't like the heat, but this is CRAZY COLD!

How frozen are you guys???
In South Central Kentucky, it is 1 degree with a wind chill of -10! I put a new heater in my coop to add to my little brooder plate I had hung from the ceiling above their roosting bars and actually closed the door to keep heat in. First time I have ever closed them in! They seem to be doing great, but I have not let them out of the run. My Marans have feathered legs, and I don't want them running through the snow. Stay warm, everyone!
