6.54p.m. A mostly sunny day spent cleaning out the coops. It was great seeing the bantams wandering around chatting and following me again. they're not missing the bully girls.

What sort of bantams do you have? I have an OEGB bantam pullet hatches May 13th, but I have not seen any wee white eggs as of yet - she has been squatting and chattering up a storm at times. Makes me wonder if she is hiding eggs…?

The weather is so crazy, Mother Nature has gone off the rails I tell you!

After last week’s lovely mid 20c weather the past couple days were chilly and this morning it was -2C brrr! Tonight +6C tomorrow 9C and get this Sunday gets warm again and 21C by Wednesday! That is unheard of really for this time of year.

Not that I am whining - the longer it stays mild and doesn’t snow the better it is for me!

10c (50F) and overcast, as I stated going to be +6C overnight.

I have 3 Pekin, one is a frizzle - Betty (in my avatar). She was the one being bullied by the larger araucana hens. They have joined a large hen flock of 14 and are doing excellently I heard today. Yes, Betty loves laying hers in the agapanthus. I pretend I don't know lol

i wonder if Betty is the number one top name for chickens. Do we all have Bettys? my Betty is my favorite hen she always jumps up in my lap.
