Next New Moon:1 Dec 2024, 4:21 pm

Partly cloudy. Patchy fog in the early morning. Medium chance of showers in the afternoon and early evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and early evening, possibly severe. Light winds becoming north to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening.

As long as they are dry, well ventilated, and draft free they will be fine at far lower temperatures without supplemental heat. Many a coop has been burned and flock killed because of heat I learned from different sources (reading and other sites), that when temps fall below 35

I learned from different sources that if the temp drops below 35, they must be protected from the elements. So I covered everything except the door. I covered the part of the coop they sleep with thick plastic as well. As I'm typing this, I'm going to cover the door tomorrow.
