I think the lowest winter temp I've seen here was 21°. That was very unusual, though.
It snows a few times most years, usually at night when it's cold enough. It melts the next day but it's still a big deal and everyone talks about it for weeks.
Once or twice we've had daytime snow and everyone lost their minds, lol. This was daytime snow in February, 2019:

It nearly always snows in the mountains in winter. They go up past 9000 ft (2700 m). There's a ski resort up there, one of the southernmost ski resorts in the U.S. Most people don't think "skiing" when you say "Tucson" but it's there.

When there's no snow the resort stays open with a restaurant and ski lift rides.

It's beautiful (I love ski lift rides) but that's how I found out my roommate is afraid of heights.She kept her eyes tightly closed all the way down!
