The temp CHANGED for yesterday’s low

Why did I think you were in TX?

Houston is where my son daughter in law grandson and granddaughter live
I live in mobile about 6 - 7 miles from mobile bay
About 30 minutes from dauphin island

And depending on traffic any where from 45 minutes to an hour and a half or more from gulf shores

I don’t know what I did to make that in a box

No precipitation yet, been changed to starting at 7:00pm or about! Still 1" to 3" of accumulation.

Definitely a day to stay in. People who have never driven in snow often expect it to be similar to driving on heavily rain-slicked roads ... and it ain't nuttin' like! This is paraphrased from an old weather report, but driving advice for those who aren't familiar with snow goes something like this:
Drive very slowly and carefully. Pretend there's a platter of warm biscuits on the dashboard, a gallon of sweet tea on the front seat beside you, Grandma in the back seat wearing her Sunday best. She's holding a crockpot full of gravy ... and the only lid on anything is the brand-new hat on Grandma's head!
