Used to love it when they were allowed to roam free at Assateague/Chincoteague, but idiots assured that it was necessary to keep them away from the public. Used to be they would come out to the beach to escape the deer and green head flies.

My daughter and her husband went there a few months ago on their honeymoon and they said the ponies were in the road. They had to stop.
