UPDATE: 50 dead, 8 still unidentified, 27 still missing that they know about, still more they don't know about! Kerrville is getting more thunderstorms, they don't need anymore rain.

The death toll in the Texas floods has risen to 78 and at least 28 children are among those who have died. Dozens of people are still missing. More torrential rain and severe weather has been hampering search and rescue efforts as desperate families try and find their lost loved ones.

ABC Newsradio’s Sarah Morice spoke with Louis Amestoy, Editor and Publisher of a local paper in Texas, the Kerr County Lead.
