Around here these young Amish kids drive cars and trucks about like they drive buggies! They let the horse take them home and don`t pay much attention! Not paying enough attention driving motorized vehicles either!

At one point I was driving 50 miles each way for work. On one particular morning, the roads were pretty slick, and 2 drivers were in front of me.

When I got in the left lane to pass, I realized I was on pure ice. It was like the car was on a spindle. I VERY slowly backed off an merged in behind the other vehicles.

Needless to say, it was a very slow drive to work. Especially since my car was rear wheel drive.

I gave my furnace a break. I have enough windows on the front to get passive solar gain. Propane was expensive this year.

All my water containers for my chickens are freezing over. 55 degrees at chest height in the coop with 2 heaters. I had to get the last Dominique out of the extension coop. I'm not losing another bird

I might have tried it when I was younger... now the board probably would knock me for a loop and end up not knowing up from down. Likely ending badly!

Tried that once on vacation. Let's just say my balance is questionable even on solid ground. I stood no chance on the water.

Have lived within 10kms or less of a beach my entire life - and never learnt to surf or skindive. Hubby was a skindiver when he was younger and son has a dive licence. But daughter and I are not water babies. It's a lovely 24C (75F) here at 9.14AM The bushfire that has been threatening the Nursing home and Primary school to the north of me - is now under control and they are looking for the nut job that started it. Only one house lost and only known casualty was the pet cat of the guy who came home to find his house gone.
