10:30pm. No wind thankfully. 2 degrees. All is still. Since I failed miserably on my attempt to use Rockwool insulation, I'm gonna try spray foam in the wall cavities.

Spraying foam is not recommended on the ceiling due to roof leaks (and rot).

Baby diamondback rattler. It's spring so there are lots of juveniles out and about right now. That rock was about the size of a loaf of bread, for scale.

Yes, they don't know how to regulate their venom and tend to dump it all in you at once.

Once I was picking up around the backyard after a storm blew through. Our door mat had been blown about ten feet away from the porch. I picked it up and there was a baby diamondback under it. I'm lucky he was too disoriented to strike!
