Got home about 10 minutes from work and some shopping after work for stuff for dinner.

It is 9°F but currently feels like 0°F with 76% humidity and a dew point of 3°F with W winds of 5mph.

Areas of freezing fog early and partly cloudy during the day with a high of 27°F and SSW winds at 5-10mph.

Parking lot at work was still slick and nearly slipped a few times on my way to car after I left work around 5am but the roads are very clear with only a few slick spots.
Keep your face covered when out in the wind/cold.

Don’t ā€˜lick your lips’, I know that sounds silly but we unconsciously do this.

Use that lip chap. Make sure it has NO scent or flavour in it, you do not want to be licking your lips.

Make sure to apply it before you go to bed.

Drink lots of water, your skin needs water and a sign of dehydration can be dry cracked lips.

This is the brand I have used for eons…

Sure hope you get some relief, I know how irritating dry cracked lips can be.
I bought a medicated chap stick and a vanilla scented one, weirdly I don't have much of a problem with licking my lips after I use the chap stick, guess cause even when flavored it tastes weird and that keeps me from doing so. It's so hard not to do that cause as you said we do it unconsciously!

Yeah I kept my face tucked into my coat when I got to the grocery store while walking up from the car and that did help!

Staying hydrated is a bit of a problem for me! Once I focus in on something, whether it be work or gaming or reading etc, I tend to not pay attention to being thirsty or even drink water unless I can see it right in front of me. I'm trying to make a conscious effort to drink more water though as I remember that helped me last winter when my lips got this cracked.

I didn't know to apply it before bed though, thank you for that advice!! I plan on trying that in about an hr or so when I go to bed after taking my medication.

I hear you, I have to put water in front of me at work. Winter is worse than summer as I don’t feel thirsty.

Use a scarf, that will help keep your face protected. Here we have a lot of blowing snow and squalls so a scarf is very handy.

Yesterday morning at work, arrived and it was fine, 30 min later snow squalls

Checked my barn camera and it was ok at home

10 min later this!

Fairly typical of here, though usually not so early in the winter!

Only 4.75 months until May!

(Did I mention I detest winter?)
