Oh, I'm so sorry. That sounds very stressful. They do that don't they lol, once you get one you'll get more. You should get some, they're so much fun

My girls and I ate out on the patio... Al Fresco. That would be the outdoor coop.

6 ish PM. I came up for air. Coop is finally fully insulated. 68 degrees in the coop. That's at waist height (feet are still cold).

I still have plenty of cardboard. I could do a 2nd layer.

That's something I wanted to try and raise. Nubian goats. Almost had the wife talked into it. Instead, she bailed.

One concern with that... is that goats and deer are very similar. The goats can also get sick from a "zombie deer".

There's been a young Buck (I think) in my back yard lately. It looks like it may have been hit by a car, although hunting season has started.
