What's the temperature where you are???

73° / 23C and sunny with 21% humidity at noon. High today of 79° / 26C. 😒 Chicken delights are sprouted wheat grass and peas.

This ringtail slipped into someone's home on the east side of Tucson and won't leave. Ringtails are related to raccoons and are the state mammal of Arizona. Animal control wants $1000 (€860) to remove it which the homeowner doesn't have, so they're kind of stuck with it for the moment.

Here kitty kitty kitty….

I am sure a live trap can be found somewhere. I have trapped many a racoon and squirrel (once a blue Jay silly bird!). I take them down the raid and release them.

20 min later they are back at my place….. 😉

Currently -3c (27F), not as bad as o thought it would be. Under a snowfall warning for up to 20cm of the evil white stuff.

Forecast low overnight -16C (3F), then a brief warm up for Saturday and then back into and arctic outflow.

Only 124 days until our May two-four weekend and the start of more reliably warm weather. 17 weeks…. Still a long way to go.

Getting chicks on 16 April so that’s is something to look forward to! That’s only 92 days! Or 13 weeks…. Man alive that’s still a long way off!

I'll take number 2!
You wouldn't want it if it meant you also got what's coming after it. It was 90° /32C in March last year. We hit 100° / 38C on April 11th.

It's coming up so fast. It used to be only May - September were unlivable. Now we only have a four-month reprieve from the hellish temps. I had so much to do and I've barely crossed anything off my list! I wish I could afford to hire a team of people to help. A group could get a lot of my list knocked off in a few weeks. I'm in full-on panic mode. 😱

You're right. He's cute as heck but they need to remove him. They said once they were able to pick him up and set him down outside the door but he immediately ran back in.

It's safe and warm inside the house but ringtails have specific nutritional, behavioral, and social needs that are obviously not being met there. He's probably stressed, too.

It's strange to me that animal control wants money to remove him. I thought that was a service provided by the county and was paid for by taxes. About 15 years ago we called them to remove a big diamondback rattlesnake from our yard at our old house and they didn't charge us.

I'm sure the homeowner will find some way to move him along.

Wednesday: 4:00pm, 70°F, dew point 31°F, humidity 24%, wind steady N @ 23mph, gust up to 35mph, clear, sunny! Have i mentioned, I don't like wind! :barnie if not for the wind it would be a nice day!

Remember here in the north it’s the overnight temps that rule. Daytime
Highs will only be present for about an hr or so in the late afternoon.
Here there's usually very little variation between day and night temperatures this time of year, and it's not unusual for nights to be very slightly warmer. The sea holds a lot of heat.

It's been 5 or 6C (41-43F) all day here; it's 6C now at 11:30pm and only forecast to drop back down to 5C for a couple of hours around 5am before going back up to 6 for the rest of tomorrow. Wind 19mph with gusts up to 30, and rain on & off.

True Maritime climate. The North Atlantic current sure does help moderate the climate doesn’t it? Imagine if it wasn’t so warm - the sea would likely freeze. Brrrr!

Don’t forget to just take time to sit and enjoy your chooks. 10 minutes to just breath. Just do what you can, the best you can. That’s all any of us can do.

I hear ya with not being able to get things done. Here it’s too miserable to do anything outside.
