What's the temperature where you are???

Friday: :celebrate: 8:15am, 42°F, feels like 35°F, 🥶 dew point 29°F, humidity 59%, wind N @ 14mph, cloudy/overcast. High predicted to be 58°F, after yesterday's high of 71°F....can you say, 'roller coaster'. More freezing cold predicted for Saturday from 3am until 10am, with a low of 26°F 🙄 I am sooooo over this damn cold weather!!!!!

The hills aren't any better! The town of Summerhaven in the mountains is at 7700 ft/2300m and it's still 110°/43C there in August. There's no escaping the hell months!

Which is why I live on the East Coast! No hurricanes, no earthquakes and usually no super extreme temperatures in either direction ... until now!

4C, feels like -10 (39 / 14F). Wind 28mph gusting low 40s. Raining.

That sounds miserable for you and the chooks.

-3F at 4AM now at 7AM +3 today it will go up to cold.. 'Nuff said.

Hahaha - I like how you phrased that - good one! Brrrrr! Chilly!

Speaking of Australia - it is 24C (75F) here on the west coast at 8.18PM
Has been a bit warm for several days now - including being the hottest place in West Aust on one of those days - but it did rain heavily for about 20mins yesterday - just so it could be real muggy as well.
I do prefer heat to cold - but muggy is not supposed to be a thing below the Tropic of Capricorn - least wise it did not used to be.

It seems everywhere the weather has been running to extremes. It’s always feast or famine with the weather it seems.

I feel your pain there - but it’s closer to May than December so it’s all good!

Wow amazing how green it gets with some rain! Do animals reside in that water? Or would it be too warm..?

It depends on the elevation. Fish like minnows, chubs, cichlids and catfish live in creeks and rivers that run year-round. This was just little rain runoff, so no fish there. Riparian areas are also home to frogs, salamanders, aquatic insects, etc.

The elevation changes in this state are huge, from 72 ft/22m above sea level to 12,633 ft/3,851m. The environmental changes are equally as dramatic.

Nope - we don't generally get a full-blown hurricane, but the tropical storm force aftermath does more than enough damage for me - and we get pretty much ALL of them! The storms are nasty, but survivable. We do get the occasional nor'easter, as well, but they've lessened considerably since I was a kid ... and global warming is a hoax? Not in my world, it's not!
