Whats up with her feathers? Growing away from body?

I already have a thread about her being a mystery but am worried about her feathers. What's causing to grow out? They aren't laying flat? Could the bigger chicks be the cause? Will they flatten out?

My thoughts as well. Wasn't sure if the feathers were curled enough though? We'll see as she ages I guess.

Oh my, I looked those up and very interesting lol. Do they do good in the cold? I live in the mountains of Colorados front range and it gets cold in the winter

I'll post more photos in the weeks to come. Her foot feathers are curling but I figured this was normal for cochins. What a mysterious little nugget I have
