What's up with this guy's butt?

One of my Speckled Sussex cockerels (hatched January 23) has an odd rear end.

Here he is next to one of his brothers, who has a more normal-looking rear end thing going on.

Am I correct to assume that whatever this is, he shouldn't be a candidate for future breeding? He's got a sweet little personality, like all the Sussex do.

Frizzling doesn't randomly appear in a line.

I think that is what is called roach back, and yes, you shouldn't breed him.
