What's wrong with their feathers?

I just read this entire thread from page 1 and now I feel like some brainwashed zombie...

I'll be putting mine in with my Paint Ameraucana project and my Lav and Wheatons, one color at a time to get different projects.

Here are the Paints:

I also have Blue Paints, but I think they'd be too washed out by the Splash markings mixed with the Paint pattern, so I am going to make sure it's a single copy of Blue.

Renee!!! I have a silkie/EE cross that is this color, and I've never been able to figure it out - is it actually *paint*???

Mine is, because of the way it will predictably breed when put with specific colors, but you can find out on yours by using a pure black or pure white bird- go read the characteristics of the gene on the paint silkie thread- it's a bit variable still from what predictions there are...but it'll help you!

Where on earth did you get Paint Ameraucanas??!?!?!

How is their egg color?

ETA: If you're in need of some Wheaten/Blue Wheaten stock for your Silkied project, I would totally consider an egg trade. My girls lay lovely shades of blue to blue-teal eggs. My birds are from Ribbeck stock, however by the end of the summer my flock will include birds from Ribbeck, Smith, Blehm and Meredith.
