What's wrong with their feathers?

<---- I hope to breed them. I have a half dozen developing in my still air hovabator, so we know what a crap shoot that can be...

As we speak I am crossing a blue splash roo from show lines, but with color faults, on a white hen with very blue eggs, which will hopefully erase (I mean disguise) the color faults and brighten up the egg color of the show line, which is weak. Once I get white Ameraucanas breeding true, I plan to try to make white silkied ameraucanas. That will take a while, I know, but that is my plan for now.

White silky Ameraucanas...ooooo

Well now I'm super excited cause I found two local LF Ameraucana breeders. I'm imagining my breeding pens with birds from them and some of these silkied ones....and I don't even have any eggs yet

But at least I've got my resources when I'm ready for it

The bators (all 4 of them!) are broke in some way or another, but we're working on that.

One day...

White would be beautiful! I've had others interested in trying for lavender, and blue wheaten. I will be working on a line of blue/black for now along with a few other breeders.

When I get my eggs (and hopefully hatch ALL of them) I'm going to breed them back to my Wheaten Ameraucanas (from pips&peeps) to make blue Wheatens. Then I can cross those back to the Silkied ones to get Silkies blue Wheatens. It should be very interesting!
