Anyone up for seeing them? Lol

They Love BOSS. its like crack to them. The next best thing is warm watered down oatmeal. I have to be cautious putting the bowls down.

Yes my hens like oatmeal but not to much. I might make them some warm oat meal tomorrow morning when its cooler out.

They might like that. Gotta get some more green grapes and corn on the cob. They might not have fresh corn on the cob. I will probably get them some frozen corn instead.

They got some frozen peas this morning they quiet enjoyed that. I want to get them some meal worms but not sure the best place to get them. Any ideas?

Oh goodness you are going to have some spoiled chickens!

BOSS is black oil sunflower seeds and it is very good for them as a treat. DE is diamacteous earth. You use the food grade to either sprinkle in the coop to help keep out lice, mites, flies etc or you can mix with feed to help ward off internal parasites. DE is more for preventive measures than as a cure for the problems.

Your chickens will probably go bonkers for the cheese and mealworms. I use the freeze dried ones and you can get them at feed stores and TSC has them for sure. You can also check online too but keep in mind 15 ounces of freeze dried mealworm is alot of worms! They are a bit pricey though.
Another one I forgot to tell you is spaghetti noodles. When I make spaghetti, I make some extra noodles for the chickens. i cut them up smaller, mix a little olive oil on them so they don't all stick together and throw them to the crazies. That is right up as a hit with the cheese and mealworms.

I have been buying 25lb bags of the balck oil sunflower seeds (BOSS) they run around 15 bucks. toss them around the run and its on. They go nuts.

I have done corn on the cob too, but they really love canned corn. I should also add noodles too, spag or ramen. And when in season whole red tomatoes...

My kids love oatmeal in the morning, and quite often they do not finish it, so I mix the leftovers in with some additional oatmeal and hot water, nuke it for a minute or so, and serve.

Thank you so much!! Hehe

I want to get some more EEgers hopefully a beautiful rooster to protect the flock. I had 3 Andalusian Roos but 2 had to be culled and the other one was accidently dinner for the dogs. (He hoped over the fence and the dogs got him...
