My chickens HATE it, and are scared of it! I forced one of my Cochins to go out and try, and she literally screamed as soon as she touched itThe snow is melting away and I let my girls out to play. Lol can you tell they don't like snow??? How do your chickens do??
Mine tried too. Failed. All of them.I had one flock that I'd do flying contests with. Them birds would fly 80 ft. if it meant they wouldn't touch the snow. The finish line was their coop with the door wide open.![]()
Not all of mine did. They flew the 80 feet.Mine tried too. Failed. All of them.
Poor hen. She has been caught in the “white, mysterious cold, dangerous looking stuff”Not all of mine did. They flew the 80 feet.
I did have this one hen, that she tried, but she went down like a plane coming in for a landing. She literally slide in the snow a foot or two before coming to a stop. She was sooo close.![]()
At the time, I had two white TSC Silkies in the flock, I figured they probably figured they did some serious molting or something.Poor hen. She has been caught in the “white, mysterious cold, dangerous looking stuff”
