What's your favorite ethnic/regional style of food?

'Eyeballs, tentacles and guts' type Chinese cuisine.
(edited to add: come to think of it, if I could eat in only one type of establishment for the entire rest of my
life, I would pick a good dim sum place, the kind with chicken feet and a little cart where they fry turnip
cakes and that sort of thing)

Anything Japanese involving noodles and broth.

Carolina BBQ and hushpuppies and coleslaw.

And the kind of 'fried seafood' places you get down south esp. near the coast. So sue me, I like it

Chinese Food all the way. But I mean real Chinese Food in China or a close second the Chinese Food in Canada. Americanized Chinese Food is ok sometimes, but only if is PF Chang's.

Uh, in certain restaurants in big Chinatowns in Canada, maybe (although the exact same thing could be said of big Chinatowns in large American cities)... but in your normal run of the mill chinese restaurant up here is IMO even MORE batter-dipped-fried-chicken-breast-with-sugary-sauce-and-broccoli American style than you get in America.

Especially for lunch. Bleahhh.

I was NOT happy to discover this when I moved up here

Perhaps it's different elsewhere in the country but this is sure how it is in the Toronto area.
