What's your least favorite breed?

The worst chicken I ever had was a Leghorn rooster, he was so mean to people always sneaking up in back of you and spurring the back of your legs, he also hated children, I once had to put my 6 year old grandson in our pickup truck to get away from him, he circled the truck all the while my grandson was in there. I sold him soon after that to an old farmer who wanted him, I don't understand why, last I seen of his mean face was locked in a crate being taken away.

The white leghorns, but it's not their fault. I just find it repulsive that they're trapped in those tiny little cages making eggs in a factory. They can hardly turn around. They can't roost, dust-bathe, or do anything chickens love to do. It's disgusting.

Not all leghorns are kept that way. Case in point mine roam where ever they please. Two are as sweet as can be, but 8 others should have been debeaked, locked in a tiny cage and turned into egg machines. They are horrible little cannibals that will eat any other chicken they can catch. My other hens and roos have gotten so feed up with these little monsters they are going after Pearly and Shirley (the two sweet ones) and hurting them. Shirley was a bloody mess last night because the other girls don't see white they see RED. Can't say I blame them those litte snots are very close to becoming soup. And that seriously is their fault, they were like that from the first day I got them at less than 24 hours old. I have never had a chicken insist on eating other chickens rather than food. They are just horrible.

I have six of them that came from Tractor Supply. They were sort of a rescue mission because they were going to be destroyed!

I got them for a quarter apiece and I think they are lovely! They reside in our 1-acre garden and we have no bugs!

They are very interesting looking. Not a very friendly bird either according to their review.

My least favorite is the Silkie - not a fan of cute birds, so you could include Polish and Showgirls...and those Naked Necks and anything frizzled.

Also not a fan of white birds but do love my white Plymouth Rock Laverne. Also don't care for the bantams or smaller game bird types. None of my dislikes is based on temperment, or purpose only what they look like visually probably since I am an artist. I also prefer birds that lay eggs that are not small, white or your typical brown color found at the grocery store. I also prefer purebred birds to hatchery birds.

Geez - reading this over I sound like such a nit-picker.
