Wheaten and Blue wheaten Marans Discussion Thread

K what do yall think? I've thrown in ones that I know are off so you will know what type of hidden issues we may be dealing with in the others.
Definite issues:

I am thinking these may be too dark?

My count so far is two hopefuls if I am right about the ones I thought were too dark. Input? Thanks, y'all!!

the last two hens together pictured are great but the hen with the dark cape is unn wantwd mohogany and my opinon is what created the redish looking roos and spotted chest dark caped hens. the chick you got frome me is fine except leg color but another few weeks will tell for sure it takes 6 tp 8 weelks for leg color to get right. but lile i said il send more eggs in a month or so

I had the girl from you out earlier today (she hung out on my shoulder while I checked on everybody) and her feet are definitely not yellow. They are pinkish white like they are supposed to be. I've also noticed that her legs have heavier feathering than the other girls. Yep, I really really really really like her!! PS My three-year old has named her Angel and she is fast becoming a favorite due to how friendly she is becoming.

That's what I was afraid of on the darker hens. I don't know where the gold colored one came from. (I mean, she is from the wheaten eggs, but I don't know how the gold color got so strong.) Thank you for all of your help!
