Can someone tell me if a Wheaten Maran roo can be used to produce Sex-Link chicks?

Here is the 9 week old roo I hatched from Illia's egg.

I named him "Rey"... I think he is gorgeous!

If I were to get a Blue Wheaten Marans hen for him, what would be the chance of getting a blue wheaten roo out of them?

Can someone please share pictures of very young (2 to 3 weeks) Wheaten Marans chicks to show the difference between the sexes? I still can't tell with my almost three week old chicks.

My 3 Wheaten Marans are just now two weeks old, their coloring is exactly like the girl in your picture, no dark wings at all - what are the odds of that happening! I really wanted all three to be Roosters because I love their daddy, he's awesome, and their momma is a looker too. These three eggs were given to me by a Friend and hatched out by my broody EE'er.

In my experience 2 weeks is still a bit early to be making the call. At three weeks things are pretty well set.
