Wheaten Crele Orpington Project, Reboot

Australorps are actually Extended Black. Buff orps are actually pure wheaten, what you see as Brownish Color is actually Db(Dark Brown) on an Extended Black background, these birds will likely grow to be columbian restricted
I thought Australorps were E/E^Wh?

The golden brown, & brown have faint chipmunk striping. The first Golden brown, chick that hatched out grew into a Barred bird with slightly diluted Salmon breast feathers.

Australorps are E/E, there is no wildtype on Buff Orps, the color is produced by Db and sex linked barring

Pure Buff Orps should be wheaten(eWh/eWh), I cant vouch for hatchery stock.

Also, e+/eWh look very much wildtype, ewh/eb look intermediate(yellow with a single back stripe)
But what if they had Columbian, & Dark Brown, plus the Diluter genes?

My Marans/Gamefowl cross produced a chick like you described though a year, or two ago.
