Hoping to find some one familar with wheaten marans who could answer a question for me. I have read that you can sex this breed by their wing feathers. Is this true? I have these two chicks that are nearly 2 weeks and from what I’ve read, the dark wings is a rooster and the light is a pullet. Is this correct or is what I’ve read untrue? Thanks so much!

Are you sure the first chick is a Wheaten Marans? It's looking white, not wheaten. :)
Wings aren't a good indicator of gender. It's all about the breast plumage in this situation. :D Cockerels will feather in black, while pullets will be light blonde (or red, a couple of my Wheaten Marans girls are solid red).
We'll probably have to wait a few more weeks, so hang in there. ;)
