I just bought three of them. Very laid back and perhaps low on the pecking order range. 2 wk chicks were the most shell-shocked chicks I ever got. Very slow eaters as well. Nothing like their Amethyst Gem sisters.
Supposed good layers of cream colored eggs.

Just as you stated. A buff Xs barred cross.
For the most part mixed colors/patterns don't breed true and since they don't there's really no need to create or borrow a name to describe them.
You simply state what the cross was and that will let people know what color/pattern genes it carries.

I would call it black with buff leakage.

That's not chocolate, it's just darkened buff.

Doesn't darkened buff normally show up as red?
The buff coloring within chicken genetics consists of Gold/Silver/Red. The silver keeps red from appearing depending on what you're breeding for. Silver, and gold blocks red.
