Wheaton/Splash Marans cross

hi all! Curious what I will get with a Wheaton marans rooster over Splash marans hen. I also have golden cuckoo marans and FBCM marans hens. Will introduce FBCM rooster and hens in about a month. I know the BBS chart but not sure where Wheaton or cuckoo fit into it. Thanks in advance!

Splash will breed blue 100%, both genders, over pretty much anything other than dominant white.

Any cuckoo hen, even a gold cuckoo, over the Wheaten will produce sex linking...if you can see it. The white dot (for barred males) may be hard to see against any gold down, but it will be there. Males will be barred...black patterned on gold (which I think will be gold down as chicks with white head dot). Females will be BSL with gold at neck.

Any FBCM will produce essentially red-gold pattern on black...the BCM pattern, both genders. (I had to run the breed calculator for that one as I thought they might come out just black).

This breed calculator does have Wheaten so you can run other options as well.

Bummer. I've had trouble with it in the past too. I'm using Chrome and get a little message in the corner of my address box saying site trying to run unauthorized scripts. I click that and tell it "okay" and the site runs.

Watch out for adding Wheaten if you want Black Copper Marans. More than one BCM breeder has cursed Wheaten throw backs when trying to get a good BCM line.

Yes...thank you...that's the full calculator with all the gene codes...and great resource...if you click on "pick color from list" it will also take you to the simplified version with pics.
