wheezing, attempting to clear lungs, what can I do???!!!

* Curled toe is usually seen in cases of vitamin deficiency (Riboflavin, specifically). How long has she been doing this?? I think there is definitely something going on with this hen. Parasites, or some other malabsorbtion problem, maybe clymydia(sp:yeast overgrowth)-- That could cause a mucousy lining in her g.i. tract and create a malabsorbtion issue, too. Somebody else wanta weigh in here??

She was hatched this way, birth defect, most people put "boots" on them. She is my favorite biddy. I pray its nothing contagious. I read up on CRD and I doubt that is what she has.

no, not a recent. I have been wracking my brain to find answers. Now I am really seeing why I never took any of my animals to shows, fairs or allowed people to wander around my hens.
I do have Broilers acrossed the yard, I hope that this doesn't affect them. They spent 1 week in with the big girls-the in law apartment, then I eventually cleaned, dried the coop then put the Bantams in there.
I hope to get up in the morning and find Frieda healthy and happy (reality is that I wont. )
Thank you for sharing your wisdom, we grately appreciate your help.

UPDATE!!!!! She is not congested anymore, I gave her the bread soaked Terramycin and asprin water. Poured the rest into a drinking pan for all of them. They all seem a bit livelier, so what ever they had, this seems to be working. Seems so wonderful to know my Frieda is up and going again. She is a sweetheart (only here do I dare say that.)
Next I will get onto the de-worming wagon. Any suggestions there?
PS- Thank you so much for helping me, I really cant stress how much I appreciate your ability to trouble shoot with me!

* Cool!! Good to hear. As far as de-worming, I've only ever used ivermectin. It is supposed to take out everything but tapeworms. I have no clue what your'e supposed to do if they do have tapeworms. . . . Roto-Rooter, maybe??

She laid an egg today, believe it or not! She is one that got loose on DH while he was building better security...we should have done it (I should have done it) 2 months ago when we put the pen up.
This afternoon she is still lively, following me everywhere, but...she has coughed a couple times, but not gurglie or exhausted acting. I wish they could have stayed in today, but with the jail break, they have lots of fresh and medicated water pans to choose from.
(mind you, they do not lack for much or attention.) Have a wonderful day and hope your girls are doing super too!
