WHEEZY IS DYING😭😭

Let her rest a bit, then try to purge her again. I know, it’s super hard to do because you are so worried you’ll make it worse (and the very last thing I want to do is lead you in one direction and have it get worse 🥺). When my Alice had sour crop, I think I purged her three times in a row. Just make sure her head is facing downward and just get a bit out at a time so she can take a breath/rest in between without breathing it in. She may swallow some back down once you lift her back up again, so don’t be too alarmed if that happens - as long as she doesn’t breathe it in. I really hope I’m helping and not making it worse for you and her 😢. Also, did you check out any videos on how to do this? That’s how I learned. Anyway, the very best of

Yes watched youtube vids and cried my eyes out!!! And because of the possum attack she has wry neck so she has no neck control right now And im trying to keep her floppy neck straight and make her regurg Bumble foot yes we made it Butt soaks for egg issues check this I SUCK

When I worked with Alice, I supported her belly with one hand and forearm (so have her ‘sitting’ on your arm with her butt facing you, legs to either side of your arm). Then you want to lay her down, rest your arm against your thigh, and press your free arm against her back while also pinning he head and neck down so she can’t lift it (gravity is our friend). Use the hand of the arm supporting her underside to gently massage her crop and ‘push’ the liquid out. Use more force if necessary. I’m gonna try to find a good video, so hang on ...

I have no idea what the heck im doing positional wise i just know youtube vids were barbaric so i dont even think im holding her right Any tips on how to hold her
Here is a good video - they don’t even hold her upside down in this one. Also has some suggestions for treatment. Also, you might have to do this for a few days. Anyhoo, they show how they regurgitating at about the 4 minute mark.

No! Don’t feel bad. Sometimes we miss things because our Bickies are good at hiding issues. Just do your best for her now and give her lots of wuvvies (love). When my little June Bug (the sick baby) was unwell, and when she finally got better, a wise person told me that the love you radiate really makes a difference. I believe it. Don’t give up on her and just do what you can 💖💖💖. Hopefully the video I sent helps. It may be unpleasant for you and her, but if you can get that gunk out of her crop amd keep clearing it, it could really help. Hope it all turns out well! 🥰

Just take your time and make sure you give yourself a break in between, too. You can do this, and no matter what happens at the end, know that you did your best to help her 💖.

ALSO, if she’s doing better in the morning, don’t let her have any starchy or hard to break down foods. The starchy stuff just starts the cycle over again. Some people use unsweetened yogurt and I think unsweetened applesauce as well (I remember getting some for Junie when she was sick). Scrambled or hard boiled eggs might be okay, too (though you might want to double check what to feed a hen with sour crop).
