Hi everyone!
We've had a bad week with frostbitten roosters. One of ours will be in the garage for the long haul because of horrible swelling. We have another who has frostbitten wattles, and we brought him in just as a precaution. He definitely has black skin along the bottoms of his wattles and will probably lose the bottom 1/4's of them.
Needless to say, he's not happy in his "bachelor pad" in the garage. The weather is warmer now -- 20's today and around 30 tomorrow.
Question: When is it safe to put him back outside?
Should we bring him back inside every time the temps drops below freezing? Or just when it gets around 20?
Thanks!!
