When can I introduce new chickies?

I incubated and hatched out 8 babies. I gave 5 to a friend (with more space) and kept 3 to add to my flock.

My current hens are about a year old, my newest are 4 weeks and nicely feathering out. I would like to move the chickies in to the hen house as our temperatures are very mild and they seem to be doing well when I let the free range in the garden during the day.

I have introduced everyone a few times in the garden. The hens don't seem to mind the chickies at all, but is it to soon to move them into the hen house?

I was told the older hens might try and kill them.

Thanks!

Well i am no expert, mine are 3 weeks old . we moved them out yesterday with the big girls. We live in Texas so it's not real cold . Use a heat lamp , So far they are doing great.

I have always been worried about this too, in the past I have waited until they are about 6 weeks old. They get a bit henpecked but are usually big enough not to get injured.
