Do you think it would be fine to let them swim together in a semi-shallow bath in the bath tub? It's big enough to allow her to swim away from him.

Try it since you'll be right there if he gets aggressive you can scoop her out. But don't take aggressiveness as just being nosy he may just not know quite what to do with a duckling since he has only been around chicks.

Gave them a bath. He kept trying to bite her but she decided to nip his tail whenever he bit her.

I'm not sure but at least he didn't full on attack her. He only did it whenever she tried to talk to him.

Update:
He seems to be slowly getting use to her. I recently transferred the baby chickens outside so now Colonel is by himself in his cage but he does have Duchess to talk to with their cages being next to each other. They'll be getting another bath today later in the afternoon when I get home.

Is it normal to feel bad that Colonel is now without his chicken buddies? I know he can talk to Duchess and our (temp.) indoor cockerel but I feel bad that he doesn't have any snuggle buddies anyone.

Of course it's normal his routine has been changed but having Duchess right there I am sure is helping plus your young cockerel. Sounds like progress is being made your doing great. He'll be madly in love very soon her too!
