I have 4 chicks that are 6 weeks old. Right now the temperatures are around 70 degrees but at night they drop to the 40s. Should I wait until I gets hotter? Or should I bring them in at night to but then in the brooder with the heat lamp?

They should be fine. Mine were in 20 degree weather at 6 weeks.

I put mine out at 6 weeks or when they have nice feathered backs. I usually have more than 4 though so they can huddle up. If I do get tired of the brooder poop ill set mine out a week or so earlier but put the heat lamp in with them if its gonna be cooler weather.

I keep mine inside 4 months. Once they have full feathers to stay warm.

Get them weaned off heat and expose them to temperatures closer to outside temps (if they're indoors) over the next week or so, and they should be good to go. I have mine out without heat at 4 weeks old with slightly lower temps, but they're well hardened to it as they're raised outside.

It must be done on Tuesday three weeks from now at precisely 7:43 pm. And you must carry them out two at a time while walking backwards with them looking at you so they can see both you and where they are going, and you must make soft chirping noises with a crowing noise every 6th step.;):lau

everyone has already given good advice- make sure they are well feathered, wean them from heat, be sure they have a protected area, watch their behavior-(they may still huddle at night to sleep if they are not already roosting for bedtime.)
