When did BYC eggs get more expensive than Eggbid & Ebay??

And I have a hatchery cochin who is really pretty and as sweet as she can be... but she was aloof until she started laying eggs.. she is a real sweetheart now..so yours may have time-release sweetness too!!

I think most of them go thru a spazzy teenager stage for a bit and then settle back down again.

I try very hard to sell my hatching eggs for the same price I sell the eating eggs, I dont seperate the egg colors, size etc, there could be OEG crosses, Cochin crosses, and some cute clean leg bantam crosses. I dont know I dont sit there and watch who jumped who and who layed which egg. yes untill pens are made chick life will be a mystery, and some of those mysteries are pretty darn cute.

What ever I decide to keep out of the rare laying hen pkg( that all total was $85.00, I may decide to change the price BUT not untill I can seperate them into their own breeding pens with a like rooster.
But then again if some one was desperately wanting a particular rare breed I would again sell it for the eating egg price.

maybe I am a dope but what goes around comes around.

I appreciate that everyone is so supportive. I will wait with patience to see the sweet Cochin personality that ya'll speak of. Mine have been skiddish from day one, though I can get them to come when they are called. They are now about 4 weeks old and never once has picking one up been anything less than traumatic for the little guys. I will see if their behavior changes when I separate them from the 7 meat birds.

Bumper, my bantam cochin chick is weird, s/he will have a total heart attack when I pick him/her up, but if I take the little bug out to the kitchen (my guys are indoors, lol) and sit it on the floor and sit down, he'll jump up on my arm and everything, and is even fine with my 16 month old "talking" to him and touching him.
