When did your chicken start laying?

I had a hen start laying at barely 5 months old, but I also had one start laying at 2 years old. Some girls just take their sweet time.

NO LOL they are ISA Browns Barred Rock and get this... Red Rangers .. just one red ranger is laying . I didnt intend on having Red Rangers but you never know what you will get from Tractor supply lol

That makes sense, except for the Red Ranger part.
I figured they would have to be an egg hybrid, Leghorn, Jaerhon, Ancona or other early maturing breed.

2 of my girls(rir and bo) started around 23 weeks but the other 4 haven’t even laid yet! They’re now 40+ weeks

I will try to be patient! lol I'm just so excited to go out and find the first one....

I have five that are now 34 weeks old. The Golden Comet started laying at 23 weeks, the Golden Laced Wyandotte at 29.5 weeks, and the Black Australorp, Easter Egger and Cuckoo Maran haven't started yet.

Pebbles just laid her first egg! 3 chickens laying now! And her 3 other sisters(2 br’s and a slw) have all been squatting! We call the 3 br’s(including pebbles ) “the triplets” cause they look a lot alike and hopefully they’ll follow in her tracks
