When did your roos start crowing?

Cockerels can start to crow as early as a couple weeks old. I had one crow at six weeks. He was mounting his brooder mates at ten weeks.

Most cockerels start crowing around six months, but some don't crow at all if there's an adult rooster already in charge of the flock.

I have a ameraucana cockerel who is 7 weeks old and started trying to crow a week ago :) he still isnt a super loud full on crower but he is working on it

I get a wide range, some early some late... my bantams *usually* start earlier than my lf, 3 to 4 weeks sometimes...

But I did get one that was a huge surprise... 6 days old...
