When do ducks

Start to lay there eggs in particular muscovy ducks. Mine about 51/2 months old now so there still to young.

This years birds (muscovies) will probably start laying next spring. Muscovies are not egg laying machines like some of the mallard derived breeds which have been selected for that trait.

Mine started laying 6-7 months but some are earlier. My scovies don't lay seasonal or anything... just when they aren't molting really, but not sure if thats what to expect.
