When Do I get Eggs :)

One of my 2 Red Stars (which I think are like/or are the same as Gold Comets) laid her first egg last Friday. She was 17.5 weeks. I haven't seen another since. She did do the squat thing andher wings were out, just different. I hear they are early layers. I am waiting for the egg train to begin!

I was told 18-25 weeks depending on breed. I have BR, BB, and EE that were born on March 8th. They are 20 weeks and 6 days old today and I got my first egg!

I have two red hens from the assorted red pullet container I was told they were all RIR though. They hatched March 20. They were 20 weeks old on Sunday and the two reds laid eggs for the first time yesterday. My wyandotte still hasn't laid any eggs but I have read they are slower to mature.

My first egg...not sure who gave it to me...a tiny, perfect little thing....all at least 19 weeks, one RIR 21 weeks...I check all over the place, they spend the day in the pole barn in the straw, due to heat...but have noticed a few of the Gold Comets, and BR going in and out of the coop...so I check at least 5 times a day...!! No squatting though...no egg song that I have heard...

I have a 24 week old BO that hasn't laid yet. I'm not sure why. She hasn't even started doing the egg squat yet either. Do BOs usually take longer??
